THE "FAN" VOTED FAVORITE PARODY!

THE WINNER IS::

I MISS JOE DON!

STORY BEHIND THE PARODY!

Ok, so here's my story of the parody "I Miss Joe Don" to the tune of "Mayberry," my first parody, ever!

I was listening to the "Melt" CD with my friend Alissa and we were singing "Mayberry." Well when it came to the chorus I said, "Where everything is nice and hott, yayayayaya!" And we laughed and she said it was cute. And it got me to thinking, "Hey, Cledus can do it, why can't I?" But I kept puting it off because I didn't know how to do it, I thought.

So I sang my line in the car one day with my Dad and he said it was funny. So I asked him if I should make a parody and he said yes. So I said, "I'll try," and did (obvisoly).

I went home and got the lyrics to "Mayberry" and I did the chorus first because I already had half of it done. It turned out really cute I thought so I kept going. I did the first verse, then the second, and all the way down the song. I got done, printed it out showed it to my dad and he loved it. I was, and still am proud of it too. I e-mailed it to Jodie who at the time had the site www.rascalflattsfans.com (no longer running) and it had a parody page. Before she closed the site my first two parodies ("I Miss Joe Don" and "Only In my Dreams" to the tune of Brooks&Dunns "Only in America") were on her site.

This song is where it all started. Just a little joke between me and a friend. My first parody. It just came natural. I now have over 50, almost 60 parodies, all on this site, and more coming every month! My parody "carrer" is all thanks to your voted FAVORITE PARODY.

Thanks for everything. I hope you like my parodies, my story, and my site. More surprises are to come, so stay tuned!

JOE DON ROONEY!

“I miss Joe Don”

By: Teri “RF Girl” Monahan

(To the tune of “Mayberry” By: ~oh, come on now guys, RASCAL FLATTS!!)

Sometimes it feels like Rascal Flatts are on their way over,

To my house to sing to me.

But then I wake up and turn on my radio

To make me feel like they’re there.

Sunday is a day of rest;

Church, Rascal, Church and Rascal.

And we can’t slow down

‘Cause they’re best.

It’s all an endless dream.

(Well) I miss Joe Don;

Sittin’ on his front porch drinking ice-cold… Water,

Where everything is nice and hott,

Yaya, yaya, yayayayaya.

Pickin’ on his six-string,

Where people pass by and call him by his full name.

Watchin’ the fans walk/faint by.

Bye, bye.

Sometimes I can hear all us fans shouting

Though the crowds as we sing along.

That’s when I climb up there on that stage

To see if I can get a hug.

Now I can’t fly, but I got two feet

That let me try to climb to them Rascals,

Up with the music and great guys,

My worries disappear.

(Well) I miss Joe Don;

Sittin’ on his front porch drinking ice-cold… Water,

Where everything is nice and hotttt,

Yaya, yaya, yayayayaya.

Pickin’ on his six-string,

Where people pass by and call him by his full name.

Watchin’ the fans walk/faint by.

Bye, bye.

Sometimes I dream I’m walkin’ down his nice paved road;

Not even listed on a map.

I pass Gary and Jay carrin’ a fishin’ pole,

But I always wake up, everytime

I try to turn back:

(Well) I miss Joe Don;

Sittin’ on his front porch drinking ice-cold Water,

Where everything is nice and hotttt,

Yaya, yaya, yayayayaya.

Pickin’ on his six-string,

Where people pass by and call him by his full name.

Watchin’ the fans walk/faint by.

Bye, bye.

Bye, Bye

(“I miss Joe Don” and some yaya’s 2x’s)

THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT! *HUGS*

If another artist is mentioned in any of these parodies, I mean no harm. If I offend you, please don't take it to heart. It was meant to make you laugh, not cry. I hope you understand. I am also not Rascal Flatts or related to them, or Lyric Street Records in any way. I'm just a BIG fan. And lastly, I dont mind if you print off my parodies and share them with frineds, but I do ask you to give me credit. Please, and thank you. ~Teri~
